My Story

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Life took me through many different paths: hairdressing, retail, hospitality, and eventually a corporate role. Each chapter taught me something, but none felt truly aligned with the creative pull I’d always carried. Moving to Lincolnshire, becoming a parent, and experiencing the loss of my father reshaped my perspective and made me look more closely at the life I wanted to build.
Thank you for reading my story.

Art returned quietly at first, then with certainty. What began as a way to breathe became a way to reconnect with myself, my memories and the landscapes that shaped me. As I explored materials and colour, something clicked: painting wasn’t just a pastime; it was the thing I’d been circling back to all along.
So, Today, I’m a self‑taught artist based in Lincolnshire, creating nature‑inspired oil paintings rooted in my Cornish beginnings. I find beauty in both the dramatic coastlines of my past and the softer, gentler landscapes around me now, often shaped by moments shared with my children.
My artistic practice centres on atmospheric oil landscapes that explore light, colour and the quiet stillness found in nature. I paint to capture how a moment feels, the warmth of early sun, the calm line of a horizon, the shifting patterns of clouds or the calm that settles when you pause and breathe. My process often begins with a walk, photographing sky formations, florals and small details that guide my palette and compositions. Through soft gradients, immersive skies and gentle transitions, I aim to create spaces that encourage people to slow down and reconnect with the natural world.

Where did it begin?
For me, that connection to nature began early in my childhood in Cornwall, where wild coastlines and quiet countryside shaped my imagination. I was always creating paintings, arranging dried flowers, or attempting to make “perfume” from petals with results that were questionable at best, long before I understood any of it as art.

My work honours the places and experiences that formed me while offering others a moment of stillness and connection. If my art helps someone stop for a moment and feel the presence of nature, then it’s done what I hoped it wo
